<p>Online video companies are going to be an economic driving force throughout 2010, with the enormous power they are gathering alongside the significant percentages of advertisers and marketers who are moving their advertising budgets towards online video publishers.    Beet.TV recently spoke with Ping Li, (Accel Partners) on this subject.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The rapid growth of online video as a viable advertising medium, with marketers seeking uniform publishing environments, is leading to consolidation of the many start-ups, says Ping Li a partner with Accel Partners.</p>
<p>Accel is an investor in several online video companies including Brightcove, Glam Media, Metacafe and YuMe.</p>
<p>Despite a very difficult 2009, the online video industry is growing quickly.</p>

<p>Moviecom.tv is in it&#8217;s fourth year and is looking to expand the team in advance of our new platform launch.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">We are looking for someone to join Scotland&#8217;s most innovative online video platform.  We are currently  developing our brand new platform which will provide FREE online video for all as well as a FREE website to host it all on! We need someone to join our core team and give us a hand with all the work going behind this revolutionary new platform.</span></p>
<p>We are a small and dedicated team; we need someone who fits in and has a strong work ethic &#8211; we have big ambitions and aspirations and need someone who is confident they can help us reach those.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">We need a superstar admin assistant who can support mainly advertising, marketing and communications as well as helping on the online video platform side of things.  This can range from event and exhibition organisation all the way delivering DVDs.  We all pitch in to get everything done, we have a very busy (friendly) office and love what we do!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The job requires multitasking and being able to prioritise workload.  Some typical tasks would be creating and monitoring email campaigns, answering phones, setting up meetings, creating databases &#8230; we need someone who can assist with all aspects of daily office admin and has an impeccable record for posting letters!!</span></p>

<p><a title="MCTV" href="http://www.moviecom.tv" target="_blank">Moviecom.tv</a> and <a title="29" href="http://www.29studios.com" target="_blank">29studios  </a>captured the event and edited all the content down into a series of <a title="Media 140" href="http://www.vimeo.com/media140" target="_blank">20 bite sized movie clips,</a> we edited through the night &#8211; the thinking behind this being to keep within the themes of social media and provide near instantaneous coverage.  Check out our behind the scenes footage <a title="Behind the Scenes" href="http://www.moviecom.tv/index.php/blog/behind-the-scenes-edits/" target="_blank">HERE.</a></p>
<p>The way in which the night was designed meant there was constant and distinct interaction; whether this was conversation with others at the table over champagne, the speakers who debated with the audience or for those at home, through the live feed.  </p>
<p>Recognitions from Twitter avatars or usernames allowed guests to move  from online to social engagement; continuing the theme of &#8220;learning from the person sitting next to you&#8221;.</p>
<p>The eloquency of the speakers, alongside their innovative perspectives on social media made for engaging and informative speeches in an informal setting, echoing the &#8220;social&#8221; feel of the evening.</p>

Now that&#8217;s interaction.</p>
<p>The event tonight was put together by  <a title="@markofrespect" href="http://twitter.com/markofrespect" target="_blank">Mark Jennings (@markofrespect)</a> and his team from <a title="d8 digital" href="http://www.weared8.com/" target="_blank">D8 digital</a>. His positive approach and can do attitude was fantastic and a breath of fresh air. Sometimes in Scotland we are far too quick to look for the negative, rather than encouraging and promoting the positives. Well tonight Mark there should be nothing but positive. Well done to all for making this a great event.</p>

<p>Recently, Dawn has been on a personal journey that has taken her to some of the most deprived areas in the UK and abroad. This led Dawn to set-up <a href="http://www.thebarefootfoundation.co.uk/" target="UID714_1266878028656">The Barefoot Foundation </a>– a charity focusing on eradicating poverty and abuse in the UK. Whilst volunteering – Dawn met some amazingly inspirational people. </p>
<p>We at <a href="http://www.moviecom.tv/">Moviecom.tv </a>are looking forward to working closely with Dawn and alongside all those organisations she is involved with.  Using online video to promote and help raise awareness for these organisations is where we will be able to deliver the most effective message.  By creating short and powerful messages that will create a considerable impact will create exposure and profile for the organisations, allowing them to continue to provide incredible support and care.</p>
